The National Sales Director of SCHUNK Electronic Solutions is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for depaneling products and services across the entire country. This role involves managing a team of independent representatives, developing, and implementing sales plans, and achieving revenue targets.
The National Sales Director will work closely with other departments, both in the US and in Germany, to ensure the successful promotion and delivery of products and services from SCHUNK Electronic Solutions.

- Set clear sales targets and objectives, and regularly monitor progress toward achieving them
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competition to identify growth opportunities
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
- Foster a collaborative and motivated sales environment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and concerns
- Develop and manage the sales budget, including forecasting and reporting
- Implement efficient sales processes and tools to streamline operations
- Monitor and optimize sales performance metrics
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the company's automation products and services
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets to expand the company's reach
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective sales campaigns and promotions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and updates to senior management
- Proven track record of successful sales leadership, preferably in the SMT industry
- Strong knowledge of sales structures and sales controlling
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proficiency in sales management software and tools
- Willingness to travel as needed

Education and/or Experience:
- Four-year college or University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Automation and or Clamping technology highly desired
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Requires expertise with personal computers, CAD applications and related applications. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and the ability to use or learn to use integrated order and sales system or application, email and internet/intranet applications
- Valid Driver’s License
